Drifting

Advertisements

Along with the current of my life, like a log going down the river slowly as there is no rush this time around, my destination is unknown, but my desire to explore something new is vital.

I feel free as the wind picks up, and keeping track of the time is unnecessary here.

As the sun was me all around and delight and thrill of the significant drop coming up ahead can either go wrong or be the ride of a lifetime as I open my mind and soul to the many possibilities ahead of me.

As my drifting comes to an end, all I can do is hope I find a nice place to rest and reflect on everything with a now clear mind.

Honestly

Advertisements

I’m here, and I’m determined to stay even as I become overwhelmed and tired.

I keep moving towards the goal as I know the result will be worth it.

Even without a clear deadline, I’m moving towards the finish line for staying in this box, knowing I’m meant for more.

So I block you out today as I don’t want to complain or hear you complain as if the matter matters to you.

You want to have everyone on your side, even if your side is wicked.

And I won’t stand for it, for I’m ready for more light in my life, not darkness and lies.

How do I become

Advertisements

The woman I always wanted to be if I am coasting by with many people around her but has no urgency to go forward with my own life?

How can I speak of growth when I am the very reason I am holding myself back.

And you ask why?

From what I’ve heard the fear of rejection or failure or both, but no matter what the reason is, it is all an excuse.

Because I want growth, so I have to back away from the excuses and do what I want if I fail and fall.

Then I do, and if the whole world sees it, that’s okay.

Because maybe if I see my mistakes repeatedly in a new perspective, then I will have learned something, and that reminder will be out there for me to revisit.

But it won’t stop my growth, and I will continue to get through my difficult times and moments.

To you

I am a stranger

I am a friend

I am tired

I am quiet

I am no one

I am someone

I am whoever I want to be, and sometimes I realize that.

But other times, I need a reminder that I matter, and I will be whatever you see me for.

But that doesn’t mean that’s who I am and what I stand for, and as long as I know who I am, that’s all that truly matters.

Waiting

Advertisements

For my time to come feels like I’ve been waiting in line forever.

When will I stand up, and when I do, will I be strong enough to overcome anything that gets in my way.

Am I growing or standing frozen in the past that doesn’t serve me anymore.

And if so, will I ever move on and leave this phase in my life in the past?

But spring is so

Close yet here, a snowstorm comes blowing through as if spring isn’t just right around the corner.

Um, maybe if winter had a mind of its own and wanted to go out with a bang. They would hope to be remembered for this last little storm.

For soon no more layering up and fleece is all you need as you head out the door.

No more being cold in the morning and warm by the evening.

Or cold today and warm tomorrow, then cold weather again. But what if this is not just a drill but preparation for what is yet to come.

Which is warmer weather ahead and for us to slow down more and enjoy a cups of tea and a book. Before life gets busy again.
