I see you

Advertisements

And I hear you, but you see, I know your kind

You will take and take until there is nothing left of me.

And I won’t lose myself again for anyone.

And so I distance myself, not letting your insecurities get to me.

And sometimes I wish you would understand how things work, but you probably won’t ever, but that’s your life to live.

I won’t try to change or control you, for I know how that feels.

You will have to learn and grow on your own.

And maybe one day you will be in a better place to know there is always another way to do things.

Your trying

To be better, but at the last minute, you fall back into that girl that shy’s away from it all.

And as I scream for you to wake up and take the next step, it always goes to deaf ears.

Oh, how I wish you would speak up and rise to the challenge for your more than the soft-spoken one.

You have the determination of someone who could be significant.

So stand up and hold your head high because you are going places, my friend, and I can’t wait to see you accomplish it all.

You were meant to share your words and your hope and the light that reaches for us all, no matter if we want it or not.

You are the reason I am here and making the change to be me, and never settle for anything less than what I deserve.

No matter how miles or hours or days apart, you will always be a part of me.

Annoyed

As I realize it doesn’t matter what I do

You will always try to use me until I’m too tired to give back.

When will I speak up and say something?

Probably never because I learned a long time of go people like you don’t care, and it’s a waste of energy.

I don’t want to stand in negativity, even for a second.

So I let it go and move on and hope to get through this with a smile on my face and laughter in my ears until it is my time to go.

Luck is on

My side as I keep winning as I let it all go and walk into this life with determination like never before.

No more overthinking it, just living that everything is possible and no thought of what could go wrong.

Just living in peace and just trying to stay this way as long as I can, I want to smile and relax for once.

And not think about when the countdown will begin.

In the light

You the image you want to be but

In the dark, you try to hide, but truth be told, you like it in the dark, so you can hide from those who see the real you.

And now and then, when you walk past a mirror, I see your other half smiling at me.

I was waiting for her turn to get me when I least expected it.

I have to

Advertisements

Let go of all the things I can’t control

Even when I think I know the best decisions for me.

Focus on the things I love and like and stop doing the things I should do.

Be the person I want to be so when I lay down to sleep and wake up the next day; I am happy to be me and look forward to all I can do.

I let go of who I was expected to be and who just lived for me.

To be seen

Advertisements

And well, it’s nerve wreaking as you’ve spent so much time hiding away from the world.

The very world that will either accept you or reject you

And now you want to be seen from every angle with nowhere to hide.

Because once you are out in the open with the rest of the world, you can’t just go back in so quickly and think they will forget.

Maybe over time, when you slowly distance yourself from them, they will forget, but somehow I feel someone will always bring you up.

But the truth about why you are here now and will be gone again.

The answers to these questions may never be known, for you will never be around enough to answer them yourself.

When it’s

Author: unknown

Too cold to function and so all you can do is cuddle up under a blanket.

And read a book or watch a movie or tv show to stay warm on this cold Sunday.

You grab your favorite mug and pour in your favorite hot beverage and top it with some whipped cream.

And allow your sweet tooth to enjoy something nice as you heat your inside, and all you can do is smile and enjoy this lazy Sunday morning.
