The day ended, and the night sky had darkened, and all Henry could see was the few Christmas lights here and there.
What a beautiful sight, he thought to himself as he admired the red and gold lights.
Knowing it was Christmas eve, he knew he needed his rest as everyone would be up early on Christmas day.
He wasn’t just looking forward to the gifts but to seeing everyone happy and together.
He appreciated all of them, and this year; he made sure they knew through his words as he poured so much love into each card he gave.
He knew his words would live on forever, but the desire for the gift may fade away.
And if just a few of those close to him remembered his sweet and kind words after the holiday excitement wore off, then his Christmas wish did come true this year.
