I could see you again

But life isn’t fair, and unfortunately, you have gone

And I live without you, and even though I miss how much you cared, I know that love I carry with me each day.

And as my thoughts go to you, I always want to cry, but I know you want me to be happy.

So today, I will smile for you, and I will love those close to me so strongly that it will be like I’m giving them a piece of you.

Your love was so pure, and I’m so lucky to have experienced it and to be around to know how much you cared.

I know it will be a little hard to think about you, but I won’t ever forget you, and I know you were just as stubborn as I can be and funny too.

So today, I live for me and you, and when I smile, I will smile for both of us!

Today will be a good day, and that’s all I know and hope for.
