Your voice

My ear reminds me of snakes hissing, and any moment I feel you make a strike.

Like prey to your predator, I try to keep quiet in hopes to blend in but you still draw near.

There is nowhere I can hide, and at this moment, that is all I want to do.

To have one moment of quietness

To be able to hear my thoughts without your whispers coming through.

I’m beginning to wonder if you’re tracking me as I see you once again.

But before you see me, I turn around and escape with the last bit of my sanity.
