I knew

Advertisements

When I met you had to play it cool for there had been rumors you cut your friends down quickly.

And After seeing you stab everyone else in the back.

And smile with your innocent little eyes at me.

I knew I was in trouble, but I just played along, and soon you didn’t see me as a threat or a victim.

So you moved along, and even though you didn’t come for me, I still walked away, hoping to one day forget that wounded look you always gave me.

Maybe you saw something in me that was more like you, and hurting yourself was the one thing you didn’t like to do.

Silent is the

One who hides from everything around her

But she did something different a year ago, and now she knows she doesn’t have to hide anymore.

But how does one who stood in the back make her way to the front with her head up high?

She is not even sure who will stand with her for support or if she will do it alone.

So silently, she sits, waiting for her chance to make a move in her life.

Knowing now she can’t hide anymore even if she wants to for she knows her worth and knows she is enough.

And someone out there needs to hear what she has to say.

So hopefully, her silence won’t be all she will ever be remembered for.

I want to be

Happy and in my element of nature, all around me, a place of complete peace

No stress to worry about as I live now with you filming me, and I am not sad or mad, just complete as I see all I am and can be today.

This happiness grows inside of me and as I smile and laugh about simple things.

I’ve realized I’ve let the little things get to me lately that aren’t worth my time.

And now I’m done playing along, and it’s time to speak up and stand up for me.

But also leave those things that aren’t good for me alone, for I deserve better, and I will keep as much toxin out of my life as possible.
