Poetry 101 Rehab: Fem

Advertisements

I have a dream.

You have a dream.

I am a Woman or I am a girl.

You may be a Man or a boy.

But  we’re both human.

so why am I the one who is expected to

cook or clean  and your expected to

work and make all the money.

What does that make  us at the end happy with

the things that are chosen for us or do what

we love. For I’m just a woman trying to live my dream

Not trying to prove who is more worthy than me.

  1. writersdream9 – Murfreesboro, Tennessee – I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

    Exactly! Good response!

  2. Perfect response. It should not be necessary to dream about the concepts of fairness, equality and humanity.

  3. Stu – Stu's the name I go by (pen name, Stuart Mullen :) I'm a UK (Midlands) hobbyist blogger, on a learning and personal development mission, attempting to improve workability ...In the real world, I'm a part-time general light-duty dogsbody and part-time poet and writer of fiction (taking the long view naturally; don't expect any woo-hoo news from me for quite some time yet...I'm a snail, and in no rush...:)
