Daily Prompt: Jolt

You’re words were such a surprise to me that I  felt a strong jolt go through my body.

I never felt anything like that before and so it took me a minute or two to gather my thoughts and reply back.

But, nothing I thought of seemed like an appropriate response.

And so I simply said give me some time and I will have an answer for you.

Still in a daze I slowly walked away and only looked back at you once.
