I disappeared today

would you miss me?

If I just called you late at night

would you call me back?

If I sent you a letter telling you everything on my mind

would you  write back telling me the same?

If only every time I reached out to you didn’t feel like the last.

Maybe I would have more time to write this out to you.

If only I had seen the signs or paid more enough during the times

we spent together.

Now it may just be too late as I close my eyes and remember the moment that

changed everything for me and for you.

If only there was a way to save us both at the same time.
