your eyes and I see myself
and for the first time
I don’t have to worry about
the woman I am going to become.
For if I’m half the woman you are
than I will be just fine at the end of the day.

I invite you into my home and I was so friendly to you
made sure you were comfortable.
That you were fed and never thirsty
I entertained you for hours and hours.
And as happy and excited I was that you had come over to visit
I’m tired now and my hospitality is out the window and now you
have to go, so I can clean up and sleep.

everyone I hope you all enjoy your day!
The final days seem to blow my mind
as the end result was something I never
saw coming.
I stand on the top of the hill looking down at the life
I used to have.
The moments when I smiled and laughed so hard that my face hard.
To say the final moments were the ones I planned out would be a lie
but, I’m embracing the things that have turned my life upside down.
Even though my heart is breaking I must be strong and carry on for the finish line I have yet cross.
But, when I do I know I won’t be the little girl you knew or the woman you thought I would turn out to be in the end anyway.
Maybe I will turn out better or I will be your worst nightmare but, only my final days will tell you my story.
For now you can take a ride and enjoy the things I’ve created in this place and how much more I have to offer.

Life can be one big maze and as you walk through it.
Sometimes you run into a lot of dead ends
and you sometimes feel like you may never make it to the end.
But, you remember your not alone and you close your eyes and you pray.
And you ask to be guided through the things you can’t do alone.
And as you open your eyes, your feet start to move you in a new direction.
It feels like you’ve been walking for hours and hours.
And just as you are about to give up, you see a light up ahead and soon you running.
Towards what you hope is your way out of this maze.
Even though you have arrived to this new place and everything is great you soon realize.
That there will always be more mazes to get through and your ready to conquer them all.
But, for now you will rest and enjoy the things that are in your life now.

Pink the color of your lips
pink the color of her blush
pink the color of her hair
pink the color of your shirt
pink the color of fallen flowers on the sidewalk as the cherry blossoms fade away.
As the day ends the sunsets and pink sky fades into a gray evening.
When all I want to do is sleep again.

want to dislike you
for as God’s child I love you.
And even though you seem to drive me crazy
the word hate never seems to come to my mind
even when you burn so many others on your path
of hate and revenge.
Sometimes I’ll see a flicker of the person I first thought you were
but if I blink just once you are right back to being so nasty and yet to you.
The crime was never committed and you are just trying to be the better person
but the cycle of your hell keeps burning all around and you won’t stop until
you have me being just like you.
But I learned from you evil ways that one must trust one’s gut in this situation.
A let go of the things that we can not control and to not hate or dislike the people or things that try to bring you down.

I want to pursue you
Not because of your looks
which may one day fade away.
But, because of your eyes and your smile show so much kindness.
Your words full of so much knowledge but still you’re so urged to learn.
Your worth the chase even though you don’t seem to running away but, walking my way.
Getting to know you is a challenge I do enjoy.

Sometimes the way I feel is only temporary.
And is gone before I know it
but in that moment it seems sometimes so intense.
And the next day that feeling has faded away and I accept that it was a test and I got through it in the end.

voice is such a unique sound that the moment you open
your mouth to talk or sing.
It’s like hearing angels above singing praise to something
so great and wonderful.
Your blessing that not even you seem to realize on days when you are
down and nothing seems to chill you up.
But, with those little precious eyes she asks her daddy to sing her a song
and you smile and sing with all your heart.
And, in that moment I see you truly alive and you begin to believe in yourself again.
For you know now that you’re not just fighting your demons for yourself anymore but also for you little angel.
Who looks up to you and you don’t want to disappoint her so early in life or at all.
So you fight like you never fought before and I see the man I fall in love with again and my hope that this time you will stay strong.
