Coming to realize that no matter how many chances.
You give someone they will either show you they are worth it or not.
The ability to walk away is so strong that I don’t care about the outcome anymore.

Play it as if you need to cleanse your soul of all the things you’ve done wrong.
Of all the songs you had to play this one and you looked at me the whole time.
As if you had to remind me that the song was about me.
The minute you walked on stage I knew I was a goner.
And because of that, I will remember this day and appreciate even the slightest things from you for I know.
Small or big everything you give me comes from your heart.

I need to walk away when I’m more miserable than I am happy.
When it seems like the storm is beating down on me more than the sun is shining into my days and the moon and lighting my nights.
I know that I can do so much more but every time I try t step away from it’s like I just stepped in a hole and I pop out right back where I started.
Will, it ever change or will this be the cycle of my life?

no better time
Then now to let you know how much you mean to me.
I know that it hasn’t been that long ago that the words that are coming out my mouth.
Are the same words you once said to me and even now somehow they are just as true.
Just as pure and hopefully just as long-lasting and in the future something we both still want to say.
But for now, let’s keep it short and sweet and not waste another second or word on things that are better left unsaid.

So I could run away from this place.
And not worry about the things you do
That drives me insane.
I know you think you are doing the best that you can but the truth is I know you could do better.
I am not some robot that can keep doing it all without taking a break.
