In the dark

I stand out even when it is too dark too see me.

My eyes always give me away and in that moment that eye contact is made it’s hard for anyone to look away.

They say I have predator eyes and once locked on you become my prey and it’s hard for you to move away for all you want to do is be closer to me.

I know some say my eyes light up in the night like a cat hunting well everyone is asleep.

I want to stand out but not in the way that makes others fear me, and as it gets cold I stay wearing black and covering up everything but my eyes.

I hope you will take the risk and get to know me for I’m not one to shy away but, I won’t make a move unless you give me the okay.
