To walk

These streets

And lose myself in the lights and snow.

Would be so nice and I’d even accept it being cold.

For I just need a new scenario

if just for a moment.

I don’t

Advertisements

Want to hurt anymore

From the disappointment of others.

I don’t want to struggle anymore

From the lack of trying.

I don’t want to deal with certain things when I can’t seem to focus.

On the things that matter in the moment.

a piece of you

each time we talk.

Feels good until that piece fades away.

And getting more time with you

Is like pulling teeth since this is a very busy time for you.

But I know your worth the wait and the time when I get it.

Day

Week

As time goes by fast and slow I feel a pull of not wanting to do

Much more as the temperature drops and the wind picks up again.

The morning is quite chilly and that I can feel it nipping at my face

I walk through the cold in my light winter coat as I hope to go back inside

but waiting for the dog to be done takes longer each time.

I try to hurry him along for I rather be inside.

Burying myself away in a good book for I so much to read and not enough time to get it all done.

Thinking

About how great it would be

If things were so simple

And not so challenging right now.

I just want to get it done and now think about it for awhile.

But, that’s not the way life is.

So I try to do so much more to get more done but instead I feel completely wore out and no motivation left.

As the words are gone again and I just don’t feel them coming back so soon.

Didn’t happen this year as the virus put the fear in everyone.

A chance to have funnel cake and other fried things were not lost but just not the same.

For standing close to one another was not an option and sharing don’t even think about it anymore. As Six feet apart you would stay.

For you that night in hopes to catch up again with your time so limited now.

I hoped in this moment we could spend more than a few minutes together, for I was in need of your silliness and a good laugh would do me some good.

Because without that time with you I would be lost.
