Waiting for

You, on a lovely spring day, calm me to my soul.

As the breeze picks up a little but I am calm and collected as I wait for you this time around.

I know this will be an excellent talk, and I feel great, and I look great.

And I know when I see your smiling face all the time apart will not make things so awkward but comfortable.

It will be like we never drifted apart all these years ago.

The misunderstandings you and I had will become apparent, and the truth is all you and I will hold in the palm of our hands when we walk away with lighter hearts.

Family for life, but you and I both know how it can end, and we never wanted our friendship to end this way and so were trying one more time.
