I know everything is stressful, and I’m trying to get through it too.

So please calm down and give me some space as I, too, need to breathe.

Trying to find

My space as I float through the new changes all around me.

I try to stay centered when things I can’t control continue on the toxic and sad cycle of last year.

To stay quiet when they want me to react is more complicated than I thought.

But I must try to be saner this year and be at peace in my space.

How does one find something else to talk about and forget what is out of sight?

Only time will tell if I am doing better and being on top of the situation.

And only then will my space be quiet and at peace and see the truth for what it is.

The holidays are over. I still need a tiny bit of light to shine through this peaceful start to the new year.

All I hope is things will shine brighter this year than last year.

And all the goals I write down get down, and I follow my heart.

And I end up where I’m supposed to be, and I get one step closer to doing more of what I love to do.

To start

Strong is one of the most important things

I have to do it at the beginning of the new year.

Or I won’t want to start at all, or when I do, I always wish I had started sooner.

But this year, as I stand at the top, I realize I could fall and fail or keep going up and up until I reach a spot I’ve never been to.

Because this year, I won’t let fear and self-doubt hesitate me for too long.

I may pause but hit play again and reach for the things in front of me.

It’s time to complete things and move on to so much more, as this year could be the one that turns the stuff I feel are impossible into possibilities.
