The Daily Prompt: Oversight

Advertisements

I failed to notice your unhappiness on this rainy day

as the time seemed to go by so fast.

As  the rain came down so fast outside, I didn’t seem to be able to

turn around and see the frown on your face.

For the rain didn’t leave my mood in such a sad state.

You walked around moping all day and yet,you seemed to try everything to cheer yourself up that day.

But nothing seemed to work until you realized maybe a text could solve it all.

And then you texted me and for the first time I saw the sadness of your day and I felt like I Failed you.

Spending time with you

Three Line Tales (TLT) is a challenge put forth by Only 100 Words. The Challenge is to write a three-line tale for the supplied image.

Here is my take for the Week Number Thirty-Seven :

You pushed me on the swing that day as the adults got ready for the wedding, that was the first time I felt safe.

You made sure I didn’t fall and you didn’t push me too hard or to high for you didn’t want to scary me.

That day you put me first and made sure I felt great even though soon I wouldn’t be the only girl in your life as you married a new lady today.

The Path

Three Line Tales (TLT) is a challenge put forth by Only 100 Words. The Challenge is to write a three-line tale for the supplied image.

Here is my take for the Week Number Forty-Two :

I always want to stay on the narrow road for it’s less traveled but, some times it feels so lonely to be going down this road all on my own.

I want to make it to the end goal and live my life to the fullest.

But, I don’t yet know what I’m meant to do and even if I did would I be any good at it?

Daily Prompt: Successful

I want everything I do to be done successfully.

For it to be written out so brilliantly that no one can find one word that is out-of-place.

To feel every emotion that is involved in my writing.

To realize that not everything is as it seems on paper.

That there is still some hope left in this world.

Pictures aren’t really my thing!

Three Line Tales (TLT) is a challenge put forth by Only 100 Words. The Challenge is to write a three-line tale for the supplied image.

Here is my take for the Week Number Forty-Three :

I don’t like taking pictures, they just don’t seem to  come out right.

There is always something off like my smile isn’t real enough because I’m trying to hard to make myself look happy.

So I decided that from now on every picture would look like this an object blocking my face and instead of it just being a photo, it becomes a piece of art.

I Stand alone!

Three Line Tales (TLT) is a challenge put forth by Only 100 Words. The Challenge is to write a three-line tale for the supplied image.

Here is my take for the Week Number Forty Six :

I stand all alone with no one to back me up but, I guess that happens sometimes when you pull away from people in your past.

The present is now and it is not what I expected it to be, a lonely path not many want to travel on.

But, I don’t give up hope that one day someone will come along and take a chance on me and together my path will brighten up.

Daily Prompt: Exposure

She didn’t want to be exposed by the feelings that were inside of her.

So she tucked them away and pretended everything was okay, she just couldn’t risk exposing her heart again.

Even when she knew he wouldn’t hurt her or use her weakness and flaws against her, he saw her as a risk worth taking and he didn’t hesitant to expose who he was or who he was going to be.

He was a man who gave it his all and would dust himself off when it didn’t work out but he knew the only way he could get her to go down the same place he had gone.

Was to maybe take a risk that would put all eyes on him and maybe then she will just protect him.

And in the end expose everything she has kept hidden and, finally truly grow into the person she was always meant to be.

A little bit of hope left!

Three Line Tales (TLT) is a challenge put forth by Only 100 Words. The Challenge is to write a three-line tale for the supplied image.

Here is my take for the Week Number Forty Eight :

Bright light shine so bright in the face of a child when there is so much darkness in the world.

That little light will out shine it all and the little hope her parents have for her will bring so much joy.

When she grows up, she will become the little girl who didn’t give up and will live life the way she wants too in  the end.

Here is my take for the Week Number Forty Nine :

Explore with me on this cold winter day, lets play out in the snow and create a snow town.

With snow man and woman, and children and a dog too.

They can play fun games and explore all the little things we designed that day, playing in the snow until it got too cold.

Danger awaits!

Here is my take for the Week Number Fifty One :

I saw the warning signs and yes I knew it was the wrong but I ran down the decks anyways.

And I’ve never felt so alive that day as I dropped from midair and landed in the deep water that took my breath away.

The danger, the fear got in me, and then it was already too late to go back and save myself from the danger that waited in this deep water that day.

Here is my take for the Week Number Twenty Six:

The stars shined so brightly that night with nothing but tents and the beautiful sky above.

You told me you loved me and that no mans words would ever be able to replace yours.

And I believed you as I looked up into the night sky with so much hope, that we would last!

Sometimes we feel overworked

unappreciated

Exhausted to the point of fall down

that we stop being so joyful

Just ready to walk away

and yet somewhere a spark of hope keeps us

going in this sometime difficult life.

I was so blinded by the beauty of your smile

the light in your eyes, the smoothness of your skin.

That I didn’t see dark shadow following you around everywhere you went, this shadow wasn’t normal.

But, I didn’t see that it was always around making things much worst for us all.

It was slowly  choking all the light out of me and I didn’t know it until the moody days went on longer than normal and a shadow appeared in my mirror with me one day.

It smiled at me and I saw the darkness around me and coming from me, I decided to smile back and laugh.

And slowly the darkness slipped away and light begun to show up again, for happiness overcame it all.

Losing you

with every touch, with every word left unspoken.

The empty stares shared between us are not helping this feeling of losing something so great.

That everyday the feeling of it ending is deafening.

I keep wondering who would I be without you pulling me out of my darkest hole.

What will I do without you?

Our time spent together was so great just to end so messy and nothing but anger from both ends.

Tears falling so fast down my face, your face.

To the final goodbye ending with the hug that will always haunt my memories of you.

Daily Prompt: Invitation

To be invited into your life would mean a lot to me.

But, it requires me to wait for that moment when you give me the invitation

and I accept it with no hesitation.

Yet, playing it off like I wasn’t waiting here patiently hoping you would invite me into an experience I knew would end up being amazing.

Two days until I know what I’ve been waiting for was really worth the wait and, will bring nothing but joy into my life.
