I’m shifting

Advertisements

Throughout life, as if I’m searching for something.

But I feel like I’m floating on water as everything around me tries to drown me as I calmly float on in peace.

I realize this shift feels like a lifetime of push and pulls I’ve refused to acknowledge and now I have a decision to make.

Do I let it all go, or do I change it up to benefit me for the first time?

Oh, I’m trying to blend in, but it’s hard to when all the eyes are on you, and you realize you’ve been visible the whole time.

But then you stop shifting, and all around you becomes so cold that you’re frozen in time as you realize there is no happy ending if you stay and let them suck up all your pure energy.

Oh Lord, help me shift into my peace again so I can be free from the chains trying to hold me down right now.
