The storm

Advertisements

Arrived again, and the lighting and thunder came along too.

And inside, I was safe as the lighting lit up the sky.

And all I could think of was where we’re you as the rain poured down and the low rumble of the thunder could be heard.

And then, like the lightning, my phone lit up, and there you were saying you were safe and sound.

As my heart calmed, so did the storm, and soon all was well again.

If I

If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

Had to give up one word that I use regularly, it would be?

I’m tired. Maybe if I stop saying it, I won’t feel as tired or use it as an excuse or have the need to complain when I am indeed tired. I’ll just be tired and push past it or sleep.

Complaining about being tired doesn’t make me less tired; it just makes me less focused or not look at the positive in those negative moments.

Like the storm

Raging outside I want to be someone you remember.

I want to step into your life like a storm that blows out all the things you thought you knew.

I want to brighten up all the darkness and anger in your life.

I want you to smile and embrace me as I deliver you from the hell you grew used to.

And I want to walk you into a life that feels like heaven, and sometimes it will rain, but letting it all out is the only way to survive this life I see us in.

So please give me a chance, and I promise I won’t hurt you, and when I give up, you will know I gave my all, for it is not easy for me to wave my white flag.

Am I

Are you holding a grudge? About?

Holding a grudge?

No, I let things go because I don’t want to hold on to that negative feeling.

It’s not worth holding on to. I would instead tell the person how they made me feel and move on.

Life is too short to allow anger to keep hold of you!

I don’t

What does your ideal home look like?

Know what the outside of my ideal home will look like because I can’t decide if I want a big house or a small cabin with just a great view. But this room would be my sacred space in my ideal home.

This space gives me the desire for the fall season and is an excellent area for relaxing and reading. I can feel the warmth I want in my ideal home.

A place that feels so great I don’t want to leave it, but also a space that makes me want to explore the area around it, too, because when I find my ideal home, I want to live in it as much as I can and make the great memories and more with the people I care about.

I don’t want

To always worry about how untrusting people can be.

I want to have connections and not worry when the coin will drop.

I’m a closed book until I hope you are worthy of knowing all my secrets.

But lately, I realize humankind isn’t how it used to be, and the people I react with now are up in the air.

It’s like, do I want to get to know them because it seems they already show so many different sides to others?

While I’m showing just me to them all, at least the side you see when I’m happy, frustrated, and tired, I try not to get angry about things I can’t control at work.

And trust me, keeping to myself is a lot harder when everyone wants to talk, and I like silence and a book.

And I just can’t be rude, so conversations happen, and then you get involved in a web of she said, and he said, and you want to be in a peaceful environment, but the world seems to live off of drama and anxiety these days.

Where did the peaceful environment go where disagreements and agreements are okay and respect is still around?

What brings

What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

A tear of joy to my eyes?

When I pray during a difficult time of struggle, read the Bible, and flip to the right page, everything melts away as God gives me peace, understanding, and love.

The tears fall as I am full of joy that I am not alone and that this, too, will pass.

Of dealing with bullies

I thought I was done dealing with them as a child, but immature adults are coming for others they see as weak.

But they are smart enough not to mess with me, but I don’t want to see someone else get picked on because you see yourself as a big bad wolf.

When will it stop, and do they know karma will come around and get them?

Life could be so much better if some women were kinder and just minded their business.

Maybe one day they will learn, but today, I am in the middle of the drama, and part of me wants to get involved, but is it worth the risk when it’s work drama?

Probably not, so my head will return and let the people in charge handle it. I can’t afford it turning on me—the little bystander isn’t sure what to believe because lies have been said before.

What is true when I’m not around to prove it?

Why do

Why do you blog?

I blog?

I needed a place to share my poetry, and then it was a place to brighten up someone else’s day with a great quote.

But it also helps me continue to write, be consistent, and let how I feel out.

Now, I love sharing my work and reading others’ work. I keep blogging because I love to write, and there is no other feeling than writing a piece so close to my heart or one that leaves me truly happy and proud and amazed by my talent sometimes.

All I know is the Lord keeps guiding me to write, and I will keep writing in his honor and bringing joy and real life to my posts and poems.
