Look down

Advertisements
Taken by Deirdre Stokes

And see what is waiting for you

And you might just be surprised by leaf heart

And you realize the little things in life

That lights us back up when times are rough

Or slow you down and stop and look or see all of nature’s beauty.

Allow the sun to shine down on you without being annoyed that it’s too bright.

I could have missed out on this leaf on my walk with my dog, but I looked down and was in awe of something so small but beautiful.

Brightest

I am aw by the reds and bright oranges all around me.

It has me lighting up inside like a little kid at Christmas time.

I can’t get enough, and I hope to capture its beauty before winter.

But only nature knows when the last leaf will fall.

But I will now enjoy the beautiful colors and let them fill me with joy!

Here I am flowing with you

I am becoming a part of the wind as it carries part of the very fabric of me.

So freely, as if it weighs nothing, I feel free and at peace.

I am not just a simple human being I am nature so beautiful and free.

So unpredictable that you never truly know what you will get from me.

I’m in my season of chaos, and I know it will be a little rough, but the rainbow and the rain will come, and you will feel the things meant to be washed away from you leave with such ease.

And calm will come after the storm, and a cool and sweet breeze will wash over you.

Leaving you relaxed to the touch

For the first time this summer, you will sleep like a baby, for the heat will not bother you again for at least another day or two.

To be

still and be one with all that is around you is hard for us

But if we could be as still as a bird on a flower

would we ever deeply miss certain things in life?

Or would we see what we are missing and find a way to make it a part of our lives

These are the questions that run through my mind as I am still as I wait for my dog to stop sniffing everything I can move again.

But still a part of me wishes to be still and just enjoy the things that make my life great and peaceful and at the same time forget about what others have to say.

And just live my life the way it should be, for at the end of the day I will always have to live with myself but everyone else only gets to see a few pieces of me.

Three Line Tales, Week 229

Best times together are when we go on hikes or just being out in nature always made us both smile.

We knew that some days we could stay out for hours and talk and walk and just enjoy the nice breeze, but other days it would be too hot to stay out so we would turn around.

But today we got to really relax and we were prepared to walk and eat when we got hungry and we brought so much water. Oh how today will be one of the good days for us.

I know

that this is the right move for me as I take a deep breath and let go completely.

I fall so fast the thrill of falling hasn’t felt this good in so long.

I have no doubt that everything will work out as I come down and finally hit the water.

coming up for air just feels so great and nothing is left holding me down.

As I float around in the water I feel so much better than I felt before.

This hot sunny day could only be enjoyed in the water and enjoying nature in all it’s beauty.

As I get out there you stand with a towel and smile on your face and I’ll admit this time you were right.

I so needed this after the week I had.

You

always believed in me when I didn’t even know what I really wanted out of life.

You always brought me out my shell and letting be have my moment when I was too shy to face anyone other than you.

You took me past my limits I placed for myself so that I would always be safe, you kick those limits out of the way and showed there was so much to live for that being scared wouldn’t get me anywhere in life.

You made me know that being shy wasn’t a bad thing and everyone has to warm up to people and then and only then will they be comfortable to put themselves out there.

This shy sweet smile is for you for you fought so hard to brighten up my life and now I can at least smile for you and myself today.

Like the fire you move me

And I wish I could say more.

As the night ends

Will I ever get another chance?

At a moment like this.

Nature’s beauty lines sometimes stand out

more than we would like.

Drawing in the eye to something that we want to keep hidden for a lifetime.
