Timer

Advertisements

The timer is slowly ticking away as I move through life with little to no regret.

For so many things I’m responsible for that the simple things have to be put on hold.

My body is always on alert mode and there is no time to truly just sit down and relax for there is always a timer ready to go off.

Telling me time is up and I have to keep moving and do more and more until I’m too tired to move or think.

I can’t relax not even for a moment for something might go wrong or get behind.

And I have to stay ahead of the mess not behind it.

I don’t know if I will run out of time but all I can do is do my best and move forward, hoping the timer won’t run out before I reach my goals in this life.

Daily Prompt: Purple

I’m painting this world with purple

it is powerful

it means wisdom

So I use my mind to portray what I can’t say with my words as the paint brush hits the easel.

My creativity is on overload as the day slowly but surely leads to the end and the light will slowly fade.

I’m devoted to my time to pray to feel his peace flow over me when this world wants to stress me out.

I think about the color purple and how it has so many meanings that there isn’t just one meaning to a color people enjoy to wear,to represent.

So much

to gain from this life

even when were all going in different directions.

The connections that I’m fighting for don’t just end

now even when I’m so alone.

Do I just give up on so much because this path has changed

Or do I just embrace the new change and face my fears head on for once.

Do I just let the things just seem to cut of the words in my throat

win in the end.

Do I just walk away so that my hands never have to shake when my voice shakes.

Do I just not ever look anyone in the eyes again just so the nerves never get me again.

Maybe I could live like this but what life would that be to live this way.

Would I truly be happy in this life where fear is what leads me through my life.

Or Do I just take every punch in life no matter how tough or confusing it gets, my weakness will not make me just walk away from it all.

I’ve come to far to just let it go no matter how easy it would seem to be.

Daily Prompt: Label

What would you label me if you really knew who I really was

would you label me as s kind and big-hearted person.

Or would you not want to label me for labels are just not

something you are into.

You just accept that a person can be so many things and, not everything

you would have labeled them would be something they would want to be called.

So many moments in life I wish I had recorded

so I could go make a rewind  them over and over again.

To play them on repeat like a favorite song that I crave to hear.

I wish I had recorded my moments of you before you were gone

for our time was limited from the beginning and now all I have are

a few recording but I wish I had more.

More of you smiling and laughing about dumb things or just moments that

were important to us at the time.

Recording you was one of my favorite things

for the light that always shined around you in photos and videos always

amazed me and left me with a smile on my face.

Rambling

It happens to us all when we don’t have a lot time to explain something

Or we grow nervous about something.

I wasn’t prepared to be put on the spot and so my words came out all out-of-order

and I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been.

The question wasn’t one I thought to add to the list and in the end I was put to the test

and the results were not the best.

But, I hoped I would still making an impression when I just kept going and didn’t stop even when I hesitated a little bit.

I shake their hands and went on my way even with the little voice inside my head repeating my mistake.

I had to be strong and no that nothing would bring me down in the end.

Daily Prompt: Swarm

Advertisements

One moment your walking and the next

a large group of people swarm around you

like they are about to attack.

You begin to freak out a little as you don’t know

what is about to go down.

And then a car pulls up to the curb and he steps out

with a big smile on his face.

And you realize you just witness a group of fans waiting to swarm around a celebrity and you were never their prey.

You quickly move through the crowd to get to safety, as your heart rate slows down you let out a breath and move quickly down the street.

Back to the calm streets and soon you safe inside your home away from the swarm of unwelcome people.

Not enough

Advertisements

Time has gone by for me to truly forget but I’ve forgiven you and now

I’m just trying to live my life without feeling like flashbacks of that day will break me.

I’m stronger than I ever been

I have to repeat that to myself everyday

just to believe it.

Or I fear I will crumpled up in the corner and not ever get back up

I don’t ever want to feel like I’m making the wrong move all the time.

That I attached to quickly and need to pump the brakes and slow down

To not listen to the voice inside of me when it screams danger or to stop listening to the lies.

I wanted to be loved so bad that I almost completely drowned myself and lost what was so pure about myself.

For what a feeling that was so confusing that it was never clear but a long never-ending cloud of smoke.

Daily Prompt: Center

Advertisements

I walk across the center of the stage and I shake your hand and I take my diploma

leaving behind years of studying and designing projects.

To been thrown out into the real world and to be rejected at every corner

and maybe in a way it was a good thing.

For I found my true purpose and I found my way to God,  the path I walk on now is very much unknown to me.

I know my passions and talents and where I will end up is still unknown to me but I have not ever felt so alive than I do now.

I work and I smile at everyone and I don’t think back on the things that didn’t work out for and I’m slowly not thinking about the people who were in my past.

Somethings are best left in the past and now it’s time to move on to my present which sometimes feels kind of lonely but I’ve grown more now with the time I have on my own.

I wish sometimes to be apart of the center of your life but I understand that the center of your life isn’t as wide as it used to be and now only a few stand still and wait to greet you.

I didn’t

see this life lesson coming as I lay awake in  my bed at 3 in the morning.

Every room in my house quiet as everyone sleeps so peacefully.

Except for me, whose wide awake with so much to say.

Yet, craving to go back to sleep .

But no matter how many times I try to drift back to sleep.

Nothing happens and soon my eyes are open and I’m staring into the darkness.

So I just decided to write and here I am writing.

With tiredness coming quick to my eyes I breathe a sigh of relief as I drift back to sleep again.

Glitter you bring a smile to little kids faces

you just seem to make things so much brighter.

But, you really messy and when it’s not arts and craft time you can be quite annoying.

It’s cute to see you on little kids artwork but yet we don’t want to touch you because You just won’t get off.

You stick around like a true friend even when we think you are gone, we find another piece of you sticking around.

many words  I could say right now but, nothing seems to come out.

The storm of my life is coming in strong and I have nowhere to hide.

It’s going to tear me apart and  maybe no one will notice until I’ve been gone for a while.

How many words will it take to get me back to myself.

Or will I forever be broken like  Humpty Dumpty and no matter how people try to put me back together.

I’ll never be the same person again.

Daily Prompt: Seriousness

In all seriousness

what is there left for me to say.

I’ve said so much, that I don’t know if I have

anything left to say.

I’ve never been the one to be so serious so now

how can I try to be anything but silly.

But, as I sit down and write this letter to you

I hope you see how serious I am.

The truth has to be said and done because, I can’t afford to

be silly right now.
