Comfort

food is what we all want right now as we stay inside or go out into the world and work each day.

Hoping this meal is followed by many more delicious ones.

As things become different the taste of food just seems so much more sweeter.

You hope that each meal will bring more enlightment and joy as you gather around your table each night and appreciate each other more than you did before.

For you realize it is good to eat and enjoy but be thankful for the little things in life too.

Daily Prompt: Treat

Advertisements

Oh how it would be such a treat just to get away and not have to be so stressed these days.

The joy of being able to just sit down and enjoy a treat and not worry about the time or the calories.

To just simply enjoy whatever craving that is so strong that you can’t ignore it anymore.

Just for a little time can I smile because this treat is all mine even if it just for a couple of minutes.

I’m looking for this treat even if it has to wait a couple more days for me to truly enjoy it.

I’m Grateful today for my family and my dog but most of all for my God.

I come over to your house for a meal and I still you running around and everywhere I look I see dirty pans.

And all the food you have cooked look so good but, I know you will be tired later and decide to help you clean up well the rest of the guest sit around and chat.

As you finish up you notice there isn’t one single pot left dirty and you smile at me and I see how grateful you are and I hug you and thank you for the meal we’re about to eat.

Daily Prompt: Flavorful

The milkshake was full of so much flavor as the vanilla ice cream was mixed with little Oreo cookies.

The taste against her tongue was so rich and delicious that she just couldn’t get enough of the drink that day and soon went back for another one the next day.

It erased all the pain and stress she had gone through that day and just made her remember all the good times.

But, also not to forget the times of trouble because it made her take risk to try new things and taste the different flavors out there.

So many flavors she has tasted and not a moment was wasted as she got her favorite ice cream at least once a year.

Daily Prompt: Spicy

I enjoy spicy food the taste is always so good

the moment it touches my tongue the sometime the burn

sensation is worth it for the flavor is sometimes overwhelming.

And once you have that taste and experience with spicy food, you just

can’t go back to regular food that doesn’t get you that  burning sensation that

overwhelms every taste bud in your mouth.

And satisfies your stomach for the time being.

4th of July

Advertisements

Red, White & Blue

I see you

with a smile on your face

as you enjoy your day off.

Waiting for the cookout to start

and the good food to be in your belly.

To the music playing and at the end of night, you’re looking forward to the fireworks.

Hoping your night ends well and to have all your worries wash away as Tuesday comes around and it begins all over again.

Happy 4th of July everyone, I hope you enjoy your day!
