 To everyone or happy Hanukkah.

I hope we all enjoy this day even if some of you have to work.

Just be grateful you get to see the day and share the joy with whoever you can.

Enjoy the time with family and friends and enjoy the little moments that will pop up through out the day.

And just know that even if you didn’t get what you wanted, I’m sure you got what you needed and if not don’t wait around for someone else to give it to you.

Because in just a few days it will be a new year and I hope you have plans to make things different but for now have a merry Christmas and I hope every moment of your day is blessed and full of love and laughter.

Christmas

is almost here and these little moments of us decorating the tree and the house well feels like it’s been a long time.

Since we’ve just sat down and talked to one another about the little and big things going on in our life.

It makes me realize how much we have been taking the time we have together for granted and now it’s time to start building our love and bound back up to where it used to be so strong and beautiful the love between a parent and child.

Free Flow Friday with Laura

Prompt: Raw

I’m left here feeling these raw emotions of what just happened and I begin to wonder why was I spared when so many lives were lost.

What had they thought before the bullet took their lives and in that moment before fate decided it was their time to go.

Did they wish they had more time or did they just feel sad for the ones that they left behind.

I feel sad for the ones that loss their life that day and I feel sorry for the ones that survived because the pain of watching people you knew fall around you.

The feeling of fear running through you now and that feeling of happiness and safe now ripped from you innocent hands.

Nothing will be the same as you walk down those halls or go about your day, maybe you won’t have nightmares.

But, some will dream about that day and it will haunt them for the rest of their life.

This moment won’t be just one day it will be something that you remember for a lifetime, you will always question that day.

I was left here to say what those that didn’t make wanted to say and in this moment  I am sad that the world is meeting me because of this tragic moment that changed not only my life but others as well.

When does the tragic moment end and life becomes peaceful again, a question I know no one has an answer to right now or back then.

To watch this world fall apart because of gun violence and no hope seems to becoming soon enough.

I pray it all stops soon but, without some action nothing will become of this and we will be reading about another tragic moment again soon.

But, I pray so hard that, that moment doesn’t happen but this world is cruel and we can’t control the actions of others.

So let’s start watching for the signs that may help us stop them before things get too far, for too many young people are dying because of this problem.

That hurts more than the people who live in that town, their hurt carries on to many as they pray for comfort and strength for those who families lost someone so precious to them.

Friends

I wish I knew what the meaning of that was again.

That word I haven’t heard in so long for the world I live in you can’t really trust or relay on many.

The circle of friendship is so small that nothing goes without notice and you don’t have to worry about what’s going on for you already know.

The past holds so many lost friendships and well I don’t really know how many anymore for I stopped counting a long time ago.

I live for now and the word friend is something I don’t take lightly.

But, the truth is if I care enough to want to know about your life and not just about today but everyday than you are no more just a friend to me.

You are family and I will do all I can for you in the beginning and to the end.

Daily Prompt: Cherish

Advertisements

This time of year always reminds me to cherish the little things in my life and to appreciate  the time I get to spend with my family.

I cherish the moments with the ones I love more than maybe I did before because in a blink of an eye they can be gone and I don’t want to miss out.

I want to know that when they leave this earth that they were happy with all the times we spent together and lonely and sad that the ones that they ached for never came around.

I want to show them how much they mean to me and make their day for I love them so much and I want to spend so much time with them.

That nothing in this world is more important than them, for their love fills me up inside with so much happiness.

I cherish the ones who mean the most to me for one day they could be gone and I don’t want to regret not spending enough time with them.

everyone I hope you are enjoying your day wherever you are with the ones you love and hope you cherish all the moments you get to spend with them.

And remember that it’s not all about the presents but the time spent with your love ones and the birth of Jesus and how because of him we are in a better place if you believe.

This holiday always seems to bring the best out of some people and the worst out of others.

But, it’s a time where you just don’t want to give up on things for you want to believe it will all work out in the end.

For you want to enjoy the last minutes of this year before the new journey of 2018 comes your way.

I’m Grateful today for my family and my dog but most of all for my God.

I’m grateful to be able to be so close to the ones that I love the most.
