Christmas

is almost here and these little moments of us decorating the tree and the house well feels like it’s been a long time.

Since we’ve just sat down and talked to one another about the little and big things going on in our life.

It makes me realize how much we have been taking the time we have together for granted and now it’s time to start building our love and bound back up to where it used to be so strong and beautiful the love between a parent and child.

Daily Prompt: Tree

You used to look up at the trees with such big eyes.

For you never see something so big and green.

Now, you don’t seem to appreciate nature the way you used too.

Nature isn’t something that interest you and so you pass by the beautiful things in life with a frown on your face.

Wondering why everyone is making such a big deal out of trees and flowers.

You don’t seem to care about the beauty of nature until everything you once had is gone.

And so you focused to fall back in love with the first thing you saw outside your back down.

The tree your eyes grew big for is still standing strong and waiting for you to come back and admire its height, different colored leaves.

Nature’s beauty lines sometimes stand out

more than we would like.

Drawing in the eye to something that we want to keep hidden for a lifetime.
