My Triumph& Contrast

Advertisements

(Seeing something I learned about and studied in school in its full structure was amazing. It inspired this poem.)

Being able to see you in your full beauty

was breath taking.

The waterfall that you were built on memorizing

I will never forget the amount of joy you brought me

that day a memory I will always remember.

The Edges & Alignment of life.

Advertisements

So many edges in life

Sometimes there just apart of your favorite memorial structures

Or an edge of a big humpback whale tail.

Or just maybe the edges are different and apart of sample tiles or a hallway that seems to go on and on forever.

How does one handle the many edges in life

does one simply just photograph them and tuck them away for another day.

Oh does one admire them everywhere they go and try not to take them for granted.

Seeing Double!

Advertisements
Seeing double dalmations
seeing double while taing a picture
seeing double gray cars!

Seeing double wherever I go like I can’t seem to get away

from the two’s.

You can see two of me if I had a twin

but I am not so two of me is not out there

walking around, joking around.

There is just one of me but if there were two of me

how could the world handle that.

Two voices that would be powerful, stubborn and full of life.

But for now only one voice will have to do, but I do enjoy seeing double

every now and then.

Views through Glass!

Advertisements
a little bit of rain on the window
too much rain on the window
reflection of my camera, while taking a picture of the tree’s.
screen in window while taking a picture of my backyard trees.

sunset through the trees.

I see you through the walls you put up to keep them out.

I want you to know that no matter how many walls you

put up I will break them all down.

I know you seem to think being on your own will always be your way

to live without feeling disappointed but I know the truth.

You will smile again, and you will bring down all those walls.

Because living behind the glass is nice sometimes but there is so

much more outside those windows you avoid.

My Treasures!

Advertisements

My treasures are small

Old and a gift.

They are there to remind me

I was once a child.

A teenage who was shy and

Was afraid to use my voice, to share my work.

But because of my treasures I have found my voice and I’m not afraid to share my words.

Landscape & Cropping

I didn’t see you coming as each shot was taken

and a new image was put up and then it was over.

And I stood there not knowing what just happened

but it was beautiful and real and more than I could ever imagine.

The scale & observation of life.

Advertisements

Everything seems to be so big

And here I am so small in this big world

can you see me down here.

Trying to make it in this world

I yell and no one see’s or hears me, what am I to do.

Moment & Motion

Like the fire you move me

And I wish I could say more.

As the night ends

Will I ever get another chance?

At a moment like this.

The view of Architecture

Advertisements
A church in Washington D.C.

I look at you and I can see the history and time you went through.

You stand strong and hope someone will walk through your doors.

But they all walk by or drive by not thinking twice about you.

Your just another building to them and what is the point in looking at everything you pass by.

It will take up too much time and well they got places to go and people to see.

Your beauty and history and knowledge of things that have happened are not

their concerns.

Colors

Advertisements

Colors oh how I love you

From the blends of colors in your favorite painting.

To breath taking views of sunsets or sunrises.

colors how you brighten my day or mood.

Yet, sometimes our eyes miss the colors that are right in front of our faces.

And we miss out on something great.

Warmth & the Quality of Light

Advertisements

The light and warmth I was looking for

I thought it would be found in a hot cup of tea on this cold day.

But I found it when I stopped looking for it

And as it shined down on me, I was at peace.

Nothing bad seemed to matter as the light shined down on me

and my day was forever changed.

Natural World & Leading lines

Nature’s beauty lines sometimes stand out

more than we would like.

Drawing in the eye to something that we want to keep hidden for a lifetime.

Connections

Advertisements

Sometimes we need connections to get to one side of the escalator to other.

Sometimes we make connections for we want to get to know someone, and that connection may take a long time to build.

We need connection to grow friendships or network.

Connections are important and they may be the light at the end of your tunnel.

Big & Point of View

Advertisements
National Gallery Art Museum  in Washington D.C.

Sometimes things in life seem too big to handle

but we need to calm down.

For the things that may be too big may not be that big after all.

Lets not fall apart all at once when those things don’t work out

the way we want.

Some big things just need to be put aside and when were ready go back to them

the affect they used to have on us won’t be the same.

The pressure won’t be pushing so hard on your heart or your mind

you will be free.

Solitude

Advertisements
Just a bunny trying to survive alone.

I am alone and everything around me

can help me survive.

If only if  I look passed the things that make me

feel so alone and small in this big world.
