Is over and all the presents are opened and the wrapping paper is all in the trash.

The gifts are still holding our attention but for how much longer?

I hope long enough but who knows maybe by the time all the decorations and the tree is gone our desire for those gifts will be gone as well.

The warmth from the fireplace will be around longer than our thoughts of those gifts.

For it’s gonna be a cold winter and it is always nice to sit by the fire and enjoy the warmth.

But soon we will have to leave the cabin and go back to reality and not see or feel the magic only Christmas would bring around this time of year.

It’s Christmas, and I’m excited and tired too

This season seems so long, and I know I will miss it when it’s gone.

But the presents are all under the tree, and I’m tired and ready to open them and see the cheer and joy on my family’s faces.

But frankly, I’m counting down the days until it’s over and this year ends.

Even though this year has had some incredible ups and so many real lows, I will miss it, but at the same time, I’m ready to wave goodbye.

But until then I will enjoy my Christmas movies and all the Christmas lights on all the houses and be excited and tired but filled with joy for I know this time of year can be a bag of mixed emotions.

for Christmas a new ornament goes on the true to old to those that are old and full of memories.

As we start to share the new ones we have received for the year.

For Christmas is a great time of year to gather with the ones you love and just really enjoy some time together.

To not stress out about things that don’t matter and just decorate and drink something sweet and eat something sweet too.

And take the  time to start thinking about what you will do next year .

For once Christmas is over it’s only a few days later that the year is over and all those things that happened will be gone and all the new things will be happening before you know.

And having a plan sometimes is helpful but we never know when our time is up and to be able to do what we want now goes a long way in the end.

Of what you have planned and then for what God has in store for you at the end of the day.

is almost here and these little moments of us decorating the tree and the house well feels like it’s been a long time.

Since we’ve just sat down and talked to one another about the little and big things going on in our life.

It makes me realize how much we have been taking the time we have together for granted and now it’s time to start building our love and bound back up to where it used to be so strong and beautiful the love between a parent and child.
