Discontent

Advertisements

It was a cold winter day and the thought of how to keep warm

was very dissatisfying.

I had to start a fire and once that’s up and burning, I  would have

to keep that going by consistently checking on it, to make sure it

doesn’t go out.

My discontent for this cold winter night doesn’t help me to want to

enjoy another night of this unbearable weather.

Even a nice hot cup of tea couldn’t  keep my mind off how miserable I was

right now.

Diverse

So many things in this world are diverse and

sometimes we accept these things and we embrace

the difference.

For we love to learn new things and to see the beauty

of how diverse we are culturally.

Being different is a good thing, especially when it comes

to writing it’s amazing to see so many people write on the same

topic and write it so differently and yet still beautifully.

The words so expressive betraying each person’s point of view

in a way that makes you get lost in their words everyday.

You come back for so much more each week, hungry for the words

that will make you see things differently for maybe the first time

in your life.

Chaos is always around!

Advertisements

Chaos you had me this morning

Stressing me out about all I had to do.

So instead of letting you get to me

I dropped everything and just relaxed

And slowly did everything one by one.

I won’t let you win today chaos and I’m

Glad you didn’t for today could have ended

With a headache from all the stress of what needs

To get done.

Why the Sun is

Advertisements

Splendid a thousand times over

It’s beautifully bright and it has the ability to

Create sunsets and sunrise.

And the ability to take your breath away, and

When the red sun comes around everyone wants

To stay up or get up early to see it and if lucky take a picture of it.

The sun is something we learn about and study for we need to understand it.

The sun can be great help when taking a photo and you want that natural lighting.

It brings light into your dark mornings of getting up early for

Work or it just shines into your room when you needed some light in your life.

The sun is splendid and just something to look forward to every day and always puts a smile on my face.

I’ll keep enjoying the sun a thousand times more each and everyday, week and month.

Meet me at Midnight

Advertisements

Take me away from the evil Lord!

For I just want to be good and to do good

But the evil temptation and sin lurk at every

Corner and so I run fast away from them everyday.

But, even if the evil doesn’t get me today, tomorrow or

This week it’s always around, waiting for an unlucky victim.

It’s evil fog lingers at the edge of the garden, waiting for me.

To make the wrong mistake and touch the fruit from the tree that is not meant for me.

I try to withstand the temptation  but it is so strong the pull, I’m trying to break the chain.

So I don’t end up like Adam and Eve, I want to make the good outweigh the evil.

So I’m going to stand strong in this garden at midnight and set the evil straight with a touch of your light.

Pushing the evil fog away for good, and know once it is gone life will be better.

But the struggle of evil and good will still be around, but knowing Lord this battle I do not fight alone.

For it’s you and me until the end, and I’m listening to every

Word you have to say and I’m trying with all my might to do it your way.

A stroll through life with my mother!

Advertisements

My mother has been there for me

Every step I take in life.

From the day I was born to my first word, step.

And as I started to take my first stroll through

Life my mother was there, with great nurture.

My mother taught me to trust myself and know I am

Beautiful because God made me this way and to be strong.

And  to embrace who I am.

Even though I have strolled through my childhood, teenage years and I am now an adult.

I still enjoy strolling through my memories and present moments with my mother.

I am grateful to be able to take strolls through life with her, even shared those strolls with my sisters.

I will not ever stop wanting to share these strolls with my mother, for she brings great joy to me.

Love you Mom.

Happy mother’s day to everyone!

I’d sacrifice all my time to write a beautiful poem

To read a great book or two

To watch a movie that gives me hope or just to be lost in it for an hour or two.

To find myself no matter how long it takes.

To write a book that will leave me captured in the story even when I finish writing it.

I’d sacrifice a lot to the outcome that things will be better in the end

There’s no joy without a little sacrifice here and there.

The fury inside of you!

Advertisements

The sound of your voice when its calm

Is lovely and sweet and pure.

But when your mad it becomes out strong and determined

It makes you realize how, you are upset and you make sure.

It comes across crystal clear that you won’t tolerate ignorance or disrespect ever.

The sound of your fury is quite frightening, it makes every bone in my body shake.

I hate to see you mad for, sometimes the tears fall

And you shake for the anger is too much to content.

But you use all the strength you have to keep your

Hands to yourself.

And you close your mouth and try so hard to keep

the nasty words to yourself for tomorrow is a new day

And by then the fight or argument will be over.

The Cycle

Advertisements

It all starts when three things go bad

And of course you never think about it.

Because the Butterfly effect may not have

Happened to you.

But it happened to her,  and it all started on a rainy day.

First the she went out in the rain and got wet getting into the car.

Secondly, after enjoying her time in the library, she walked out smiling up at the sky silently thanking it that the  rain had finally stopped.

Only to step right into a massive puddle, soaking both shoe’s completely.

Thirdly, she had to drive home barefooted and then step out, and walk on her wet driveway and the steps leading up to her house.

She strongly regrets coming out today, for you should have waited for the rain to go way to enjoy her day.

You’re my shadow

You follow me around

When it is sunny outside.

And I enjoy seeing you

Grow before me as I take every step.

You used to be little, when I was a little girl

Skipping down the sidewalk.

Then like a blink of the eye you were grown like me

And we walked down the street with the determination and

Confidences of a young women.

My shadow you have always been there and

I hope to continue, to enjoy taking walks with you.

As I become an old women and our walks become

Shorter I know when I look down I’m never alone

For you are always there my shadow, until the very end.

Wicked

Your wickedly evil

You try to play me like a fool.

I didn’t see you coming

For I was blinded by your smile

But it really wasn’t a friendly smile.

More like a little smirk, because you

Lucked out and found a new victim to torture.

With your games you played with my mind

And I was trapped, until you slipped up and

Fell flat on your butt .

And  I saw through your lies, your wicked.

And I didn’t see you coming, but I survived

Your lies and defeated you once and for all.

Dear Beach,

It’s been  a long time since I’ve seen you

But I still remember you from when I was

A child and you were so big with your tan sand

And the blue clear water of the ocean.

I knew your ocean was safe from sharks with the big

Rocks separating us from the danger.

But soon another danger came lurking around

In the form of something small and it sting you

And that sting hurt so bad, and so because of multiple

Jellyfish stings, you suffered  my beach and you were closed.

And I never saw you again, and I  was so sad for I loved swimming in your water and playing in your sand.

I hope your open again and many people are enjoying you

Like I used to as a young girl.

Sincerely,

Your old friend

I’m just me and your just you!

Advertisements

I see you and your smile captures me

And I fall just a little bit inside.

But I take my time to figure you out

So I truly know who’ve I’ve fallen for.

Things  start out like a dream that I’ve

Been able to live in everyday, oh lucky me.

Soon reality kicks in and everything takes a

rough spin and nothing seems to be able to stop

This pain  that has no end.

And when it ends, sadness is over flowing but

Soon your words left behind give me strength.

To go on with a smile on my face and a laugh

Waiting to escape my lips again one day.

But today is bright, and I owe it all to the time

I had with you.

To the mismatched lovers

Advertisements

Her pride was not all that she had

But she was sure to show you she was

Strong and determined to do anything.

He didn’t mean to judge her but he had

Not met someone like her before so she

Had shocked him into stupidity.

No one thought they would fall in love

But they were stubborn and knew how

They felt for each other but fought like it

Was a battle.

But in the end love knocked them

On their butts and the pride took a back seat and the

Judging went in hiding. And love out shined it all.
