and my friend is no help for all she keeps saying is we
need to go south of here to get there by 4pm.
So we walk past a dog park and we go south and south
Until we end up out front of a bar, not the one we need to be at
but maybe if we go inside we will get some directions that actually
lead us to the destination.
But all the guy says is you take two lefts and you go south of the stop sign
in front of the Bridged Bookstore.
And I think okay and say thanks and here we go again, two lefts and well
there are like 4 stop signs and not one of them is right in front of a bookstore.
At this point I’m done and realize I don’t know how to get back to the car and thanks to you I left my phone in the car.
For your sense of directions are great and who needs a phone with a GPS on it for those things always end up being wrong.
Well I’d say your wrong my friend and now we might as well go look for a phone so we can find out where we need to be or at least be able to track my phone back to my car.
And call quits on this little adventure, that got us south of nowhere but lost.
I felt good to not have to rush to pull this paper
Together, and it was quite an interesting subject.
But as I looked up from the book I had been reading
And checked my phone is was almost 8pm and I was starving
But as I collected my stuff, something brushed past me.
As I looked up no one was near me but I just shook it off and
Left, hoping the cafeteria was serving something with chocolate
For dessert.
As I finished my dinner and looked in my bag for my keys, they weren’t there but I had them at the library.
I swear I had picked them up, ugh I can’t get in my car or my apartment and the all is too long.
I have to go back to the library now, I walk as fast as I can go to get there even though it doesn’t close until 1 am.
I’m getting tired and just want to go home, I reach the library in no time and quickly take the elevator to the third level and walk to the end to the abandoned table near the window out looking the park.
As I look around I spot the keys in the corner underneath the table, and as
I reach down to get them something touches my back.
And whispers, “ I will take your soul to keep, forever if you don’t help me get out of this place.”
I hit my head, as I rubbed it with my right hand I grabbed my keys with my left and got up, only to see a pale face staring out me.
I can’t move as my body begun to shake with fear, the pale-faced boy opened his mouth and.
Said: “You have two months to get me out of here or you will be enjoying next semester with me in smelly old library forever!! And this isn’t a dream the last girl didn’t take me serious and she’s haunting the second floor of this place.”
As quickly as he spoke, he was gone and I was left alone to figure out how to save my soul and finish this semester without failing.
Because if I could get it all done, I might just transfer out of this place.
But, first I need to find the poor girl haunting the second floor and save her as well.
For my friend Susan disappeared last semester and the second floor of the library was her getaway place.
Or who will be around me for it’s not my time yet.
I hope, I would think I would have little to say or a lot
Depending on who I’ll be talking to.
But as I lay there dying, I hope I’ll be surrounded by love ones
And nice things will be said and I will go in peace knowing I
Completed all I was meant to do and said all that needed to be said.
I’d probably be brutally honest and let you all have it and probably
Won’t all be good words coming out my mouth but you’ll get over it
When I’m gone.
In the end I hope you’ve said all you had too to me and when it’s time
you feel as free as I will.
So lay me down when I am dying and talk my ear off and let me do the
same until I leave with smile on my face and knowing I’m going to a better place I hope.
But I also hope you will be okay and strong when I’m gone, and I want you to know it’s okay to carry on without me and more joy will come and I will always be in your heart.
Eat, pray, love is a good movie and I loved everything about it. I loved the stages she took to find herself and not just keep living the same old life. This poem is inspired by this movie.
I didn’t want to wake up and complain about how everything
Is the same and it’s not fair, when I’m not doing anything about it.
I packed up all the things that carried great memories and threw the rest away.
No need to hold on to the past things or words when they do more harm been kept and remembered.
I feel so free now as I walk away from the baggage that held me back all these
Years.
I’m not a kid anymore and so my old toys have to go, and they will be replaced with books and movies and sketchbooks.
Who am I? I said to myself when all was lost and I had fallen off the wagon I had once been on.
My happiness is a rocky road for it is not always around, but I don’t let the sadness stay for long.
Things that seemed so simple become so much harder to deal with when you’ve lost your way over and over again.
But you don’t give up because right now you’re at your strongest, and it’s time to fight for your not alone in this battle.
It’s all up to you to eat up the food, the knowledge and to pray every step of the way.
Also, to love with all your heart for something’s only happen once and the new you wants to live it all.
Leaving no rock unturned, and for the first time in a long time you smile and laugh on your own for everything you’ve been searching for is right in front of you.
