You always seem so quiet
but that day you were like a
savage animal and no matter.
How much we tried to calm you down
you just became too much to handle.
And we had to step back and let you go
and hope the next people who helped you.
Got through to you for everything we tried
just made you angry and untamable.

One of Jimmy’s favorite memories as a kid was sitting in chair next to his grandpa and watching him write.
With a blue quill pen, his writing was always so nice and fancy.
Jimmy couldn’t wait to write that nicely
and once he was six his grandpa tried to teach him but his writing always ended up looking so sloppy.
he would practice and practice and still his writing never got better.
He finally gave up and one day while visiting his grandpa.
He saw a blue pen lying on the desk and grabbed it and started writing.
Everything he wrote looked so nice and neat that he hasn’t tried a quill pen since.
But, the blue quill pen his grandpa used to use before he passed lies on his desk now.
As a reminder of their time together.

Week 61 of Three Line Tales.
Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
That day I played with the my new drone was the day you catch me by surprise, I didn’t think you were trying to distract me with the perfect gift.
But, when I turned my back around and watched my drone fly through the sky I knew I needed to bring it down and tell you how much I loved it.
And, as I turned to run to the house to tell you, I froze as I saw you walking towards your car with all your belongs and I knew you had given me my final gift that day.

She was Completely shocked at what
she saw that day.
Everything just happened so fast it was like a blur of a person flew past her.
And attacked those around her but left her alone.
The whole time as she watched she felt frozen in time.
she opened up her mouth to scream for help but nothing ever came out.
She tried to move and go get help but her body was locked in place.
When it was all done and over it was totally silent around her.
She opened her eyes a little while later and realized she had dreamt it all and, was all alone safely inside her home.

She was a perfect example of a hard worker.
And every time they had a new employee they made sure to leave them with her.
After all the training for they knew if they could cut it with her.
Than they would be just fine.
she never seemed to mind that they thought so highly of her.
For she came to work to serve the lord in any way she could.
And nothing could bring down her mood for she knew it was all just a series of tests.
And she was always up for a challenge.

voice is such a unique sound that the moment you open
your mouth to talk or sing.
It’s like hearing angels above singing praise to something
so great and wonderful.
Your blessing that not even you seem to realize on days when you are
down and nothing seems to chill you up.
But, with those little precious eyes she asks her daddy to sing her a song
and you smile and sing with all your heart.
And, in that moment I see you truly alive and you begin to believe in yourself again.
For you know now that you’re not just fighting your demons for yourself anymore but also for you little angel.
Who looks up to you and you don’t want to disappoint her so early in life or at all.
So you fight like you never fought before and I see the man I fall in love with again and my hope that this time you will stay strong.

there and just take it all in as your words wash down me like water
I’m frozen in time as each word echo’s in my ear.
With no end to the words that end everything that felt right to me
I thought finally things were looking up for me and then it was all gone.
I felt the jolt of energy just leave me as the energy I had that day just drain
from me as my spirit broke into a million pieces and then came my heart.
And not long after all that I completely fell apart.
The sound out of me sounded like a wounded animal begging for help and no one
ever came to help me.
So all alone I stood after you took all I had taken away from me just by your words:
“I hate you”, and I never loved you. But I loved how much you ate up everything that came out of my mind”.
Then you laughed because you had tricked me into getting close to you just to turn around and tell me how you really felt.
You always hated me for being me and not caring about the shit others threw at me but for you it was like winning the biggest award.
Hurting me was a game you risked it all just to make sure I was left picking up everything.
For you never believed in romance and love and to make me believe everything you did and said.
Was amazing and for you at the end of the night you slept like a baby, as I tossed and turned and lost apart of me that day.
It would take a while for me to gain my strength back and just as long to trust and love someone again.

time the day wines down and it’s time to lay my head on my pillow
you pop into my mind and so much peace just falls over me.
Your more important to me then you will ever know and I don’t know
if you ever found out would you understand.
Or would you take it the wrong way and would things turn
so awkward.
I don’t want to lose you so I keep a lot to myself just to keep the peace between us
for I don’t want to fight with you anymore.
I just want to spend the time I have left with you on a good note for I’m not promised tomorrow and so I Just want this moment I have with you to be amazing.
So when I’m gone that memory would be so strong that even when you think you have forgotten it comes back so strong that you think it happened just yesterday.

not going to stop looking for you.
The day you left was a surprise for me
the things they told you were not true.
But, they knew it would send you packing
and it would leave me all alone and an easy target.
I stayed and took every blow they fired at me but, today
I’ve had enough.
And I’m on my way to find you and live my life out with you and our
child.
The three of us can fight any battle together for you are my shield and I am your sword
and together we are unstoppable.
But apart we can only fight for so long without failing and fall down with so many wounds.
It may take days and weeks or even months but, I will find you all on my own and I
won’t ever let you go.
You won’t ever doubt me again or even doubt our love for you will trust me and I know that you know when I’m lying.
But, you were hurt and angry before more lies came firing at you and you had no way to protect yourself from it all.
And so I understand why you left but when we become one again there will be no going back.
Your heart will heal and so will mine and the bond that is there will grow stronger as the years go on.
We will slowly forget about the bad memories of the past and make more wonderful and joyful memories that will cover up our scars.

won’t you believe me
when I say what I had to say
Time is running out and I don’t
know if I will get more time like this again.
Look me in the eye please my time is running out
so the person you see in front of you will be gone.
Please look at me before it’s too late and the sun goes
down and I become the thing, you didn’t want to dream about.
Because, when you wake and the bright green eyes glowing back at you from your
closet.
Won’t be a warning to what is to come next.
So please listen closely and don’t forget any details I tell you
for in the end it could save you from what I may become tonight.

but the truth rolled out your mouth that day
and I could tell that you thought you were in the clear.
You tried so hard to keep a straight face but I saw right through it and the truth is I feel so
sad for you for you thought a lie would save you.
But, all you had to say was the truth and just maybe you could have walked away that day with no tears in your eyes.
But, you choice the lie and so the lie was what you ended living with and not me and I don’t regret a moment or second.
For what I said was every bit the truth and it really did set me free that day.
I felt alive and in control of my words and emotions and soon I will be able to smile again even when a thought of you floats through my mind until your gone for good.

You conquered my soul, my heart that day
Nothing seemed to shine brighter than you.
Your smile won me over as you opened your arms up to me
You whispered away my fears and the things that hurt me.
You said as long as you lived I would be safe in your arms and I believed you,
even though I didn’t deserve your heart or soul you gave it to me freely.
I never thought I would love to smile this much but no matter what I did you made me laugh and safe at the same time.
You got me before you knew everything about me and, I felt like this battle I never wanted someone to win was conquered.
And I never felt so alive and in the end the love we shared was pure and true, and even though there are days when I fight against you.
I always end up fighting beside you for no one can break what we have and this battle before us will be conquered together until our time together is over.

did I reach pass you and let you slip away
under the cold water your body went.
I thought you could hold on as I got out someone else
that needed help too but with only me to choose from.
I feel like how could I have done this differently that it would end up
with you being around and not freezing.
The answer I don’t know but then someone else reached for you and now you are safe.
But, you won’t look at me for I didn’t choose you and in the end that day changed everything for me.
I wonder where you are and what you are doing now, as you have grown up and that memory probably far from your mind.
But, for me it haunts me almost every night and no matter how I try I can’t find a way to fix the outcome of that day.

something in your eyes that every time I look at you I get lost in them and I keep wondering why don’t see me for me.
Why is it that there is so much more you see but, it’s me you come to when the pain of the world is to hard for you to carry on your own.
You say I’m the best and most amazing woman you’ve met but that you imperfections is what’s keeping you from risking it all with me.
So you go from wrong to worst to she means nothing to me, I just don’t want to be alone and you just don’t understand.
Losing you would be worst than hurting these women that mean nothing to me because you have my heart.
But, I’m not really ready to risk cutting the strings and giving it to you completely.
So please if you care just wait for me, I’m sure it won’t take long for me to get myself together.

disappear when you are near me.
But, invisibility isn’t a trait I’ve developed and so every time you come around I try with all my might not to turn into jello.
I want to act normal and not feel like when you’re around I can’t seem to stop the fast beating of my heart.
The slowness of the time we spend together but some how you seem so calm and collected.
You smile and the wood inside of me catches fire and warmth spreads inside of me and the coldness of the winter soon fades from my mind.
You dance around me like the flames of the fire dancing around inside of me, your movement so smooth and defined.
You are the bright star I’ve been looking for every night I look up at the sky and wonder what is it that’s missing from my life.
You came out of nowhere and you stamped your claim on my life, my heart before I could blink an eye.
And you made it clear you won’t going anywhere and in my heart and my mind I believed and trusted your word.
